Virginia's
Cottage was buillt in the 1880s, and was the former residence of the
Voggenthalers, a prominent Dubuque, Iowa, family in the steel fabrication
business. When Virginia Voggenthaler married, this Cottage Second Empire style
home became hers and she lived there for 64 years. She died at the age of 97,
but her legacy for nice things and comfortable surroundings lives on in
Virginia’s Cottage Bed and Breakfast.
Relax in ultra-comfort…
big, comfortable beds with the finest Egyptian cotton sheets, and fluffy down
pillows and overlays.
Relish the extras … thick, thirsty towels, a
state-of-the-art shower and beautiful antiques.

Virginia's Cottage B&B was named an Individually Designated Historical Property by the City of Dubuque in 2008.
