We
are saddened to have to report the loss of a dear friend to many of you, and one
of our charter members, who has been a great supporter of the Iowa Bed and
Breakfast Guild. Jack Stufflebeem of One of a Kind Bed and Breakfast in
Centerville has passed on, and will be missed by all of us who knew him and
experienced his kindness.
Jack and Joyce were devoted to each other and to their pursuits in the community
and at their B&B. Jack will be mourned not only by our B&B family as a
longtime active member of the IBBG Governing Committee, but by countless friends
and acquaintances from around the country and the world who stayed at their
B&B. Jack and Joyce were honored by the Iowa Lodging Association last year
at their annual convention as the 2010 Iowa Innkeepers of the Year.
We all send our condolences to Joyce and the family, and our hopes that in their
sorrow they find solace in the knowledge that so many of us care about them.
The funeral will be Wednesday, November 30, at 10:30 A.M. at Dale Church, Hwy 5
North, Centerville. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Lange Funeral Home,
Hwy 5 South, Centerville, with the family present from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
